In 2007, Topps Baseball Cards released another edition of their popular "Heritage" sets, this time as a throwback to their original 1958 year card design. As part of this set, 13 throwback classic logo team patches were inserted as a special box topper only one per sealed box of 24 packs. These 5" round diameter felt medallions are beautiful quality, sew on style, soft fleece, with screen printed logos of the teams circa 1958 (actually very similar in design to a set issued by Bazooka Blony as a premium at that time). Officially licensed by Major League Baseball. Please note that although 16 teams are listed in the checklist, only 13 were actually produced, as the Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers & Milwaukee Braves patches were not released. This is a fun issue for patch collectors and will only be available as part of the Topps Heritage set for one year only in 2007!
