1972 LOS ANGELES DODGERS KRAFT FOODS MLB BASEBALL PATCH. EMBROIDERED ON WHITE TWILL, SEW ON STYLE. SIZE MEASURES APPROX. 2" ROUND DIAMETER. OVERALL EXCELLENT CONDITION.
From the series of cloth embroidered, sew on team logo patches distributed though an offer from Kraft Foods. The complete 1972 set consists of 24 different MLB Baseball teams and 14 NHL Hockey teams of the previous 1971 season. So the 1972 MLB Baseball set includes the Washington Senators team (last season was 1971). When the offer was repeated the following year in 1973, the Washington Senators franchise had moved and became the Texas Rangers, so the Texas Rangers patch was new to the set and the Washington Senators patch was deleted. The patches were obtained by sending in 50 cents and 1 empty candy bag wrapper for 2 patches, or $ 1 and 2 empty candy bag wrappers for 5 patches.
